Volunteer

North of Superior Counselling Programs is seeking volunteer participation to help us to develop our vision and provide services to the communities in the North of Superior District.

Volunteering provides a unique opportunity to get involved in your community, to join a helping social network and to be part of a caring community.

Currently, we are seeking volunteers for the following positions:

Senior Volunteer In Service (SVIS):

If you are aged 50+ and interested in making a difference in the lives of seniors in your community, volunteer today as a Senior Volunteer in Serivce!  This program is designed to match senior volunteers with other seniors or physically disabled adults in the community who could benefit from a "friendly visit". Visits usually take place in the client's home, but volunteers may also assist them with shopping, errands, or accompany them to events in the community.  Other activities include playing cards or games, participating in hobbies, going for walks or simply sharing conversation.  Volunteer mileage is reimbursed through the program and regular workshops are available for volunteers to keep abreast of seniors' issues and participate in skill development training.
